STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

At St Thomas More Catholic Primary School, each child participates in S.T.E.M as part of our Specialist program.  This is a means through which students are encouraged to express themselves in a variety of ways, while building knowledge and learning skills that will support life-long learning.

S.T.E.M education and training covers the specific knowledge and skills found in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. It also covers the interrelationship between these areas, allowing learning to be delivered in an integrated way, promoting a deeper engagement in each of the four disciplines.

Through S.T.E.M, students develop key skills including: problem solving, creativity, critical analysis, teamwork, independent thinking, initiative, communication and digital literacy.Students engage in a variety of learning experiences which contribute to the building of a  foundation to succeed at school and beyond.

We offer all students from F-6 a 40 minute session each week.
